The Fog of Winter

As I crested the small hill that separates my home town from the rest of the valley, I could see the tops of utility poles emerging from the fog that had developed overnight. Descending into the mist I continued on my way through the frost covered landscape that glistened in the filtered sunlight.

Deep into Benson Ward I was able to safely stop and make this picture of trees in the fog:

Trees in FogEven though the calendar disagrees, this is an indicator that winter’s grip on the Valley has begun.
