If you search the Internet for images of the Tetons you’ll find that Schwabacher’s Landing on the Snake River is a favorite spot for such a picture. We had been there years ago and planned to visit again as we worked out the itinerary for this trip.
Sunrise on day 2 found us at this location. Except for some small punctuation marks near the peaks, the sky was void of clouds. Not much of a canvas to catch the light. Morning frost brightened the yellow of the vegetation bordering the river, but mostly it was blue.
I think blue is a good color for the Tetons:
