Parting Shot

Posted on | August 31, 2014 | No Comments

It’s just two short hours until a new month arrives, and that has me contemplating the one that is coming to an end.

Possibly it was the effort required to get the kids back to school, or adjusting to the school bus schedule, but August felt like it was a very long month. Or maybe it was something else entirely…

Naturally, I turned to my picture folder to put some perspective on the matter. While I found some great pictures from the last month, I was a bit surprised to find that I shot only 1/3 the number of frames in August as compared to July’s pictures. I can officially declare that the time spent out with a camera making pictures is not the reason why the last 31 days seemed to plod along. I’ll have to look somewhere else to figure out why it felt that way.

The shot for this post comes from a short drive towards the west hills at sunset. It’s my parting shot for August 2014, an entirely fitting shot for an evening in rural Cache County:

PartingShotNow that the passing of time has been noted, September’s folder has been created and I’m excited to see what I can find to fill it with!
