In the waning hours of summer 2016 I visited Spring Hollow in Logan Canyon. It’s a beautiful spot and easily accessible in a few minutes drive from the big city.
It’s also a great place to find things that fall.
Like water. And leaves.
Most of the trees along the stream have yet to don their seasonal color, but it’s still evident that nights are colder and the window of color is opening at this location.
From the trees that are ahead of the fashion curve you can almost hear the sigh of the leaves as they let go to be carried away by the water. It was a welcome respite after a busy day:
