Driving home last night I came across a scene somewhere north of beautiful downtown Benson that prompted me to stop for a picture.
Patches of water covered with blue tinted ice dotted a grassy field very near the course of the Bear River. Off in the distance the mountains were shrouded in clouds and together they became a canvas for the mostly inversion-free sunset.
Here’s the evidence that January in our valley comes in colors other than grey:
