So much of life involves getting from one place to the next that it seems like we don’t always notice what is in between point A and point B. Modern conveniences allow us to fill our days with all kinds of activities and before long we find ourselves wondering how (or if) we accomplished all of it.
It can be that way with our mental journey, too.
While I drove home from the big city tonight I passed some lonely old silos and broken down farm buildings in one of those drive-by-without-noticing spots. There was just enough of a break in the clouds to color the horizon in the distance, and, I noticed.
Here’s what I saw when I took off the blinders just long enough to stop and enjoy a moment in between:
